Instant Reader Fairview takes a child from letter sounds to reading real books, in order, without skipping the steps that make reading stick.
It is a structured phonics program, which means it is sequenced and explicit rather than incidental. Children who have been guessing at words from pictures usually make the fastest gains, because the program replaces guessing with a method.
How it works
What the program actually does
Starts from an assessment
Every child begins with a short reading assessment so we start at the right point instead of a level that bores or overwhelms them.
Explicit and sequenced
Sounds, then blending, then word patterns, then fluency. Nothing is assumed, and nothing is skipped because a child seems confident.
Daily reading practice
Children read aloud every session with a tutor listening. This is where errors get caught before they become habits.
Progress you can see
Parents get a record of where their child started and what they can read now — not a grade, but a list of what changed.
Getting started
Four steps to your first session

2. Reading assessment

We propose a session frequency and a starting point, and confirm the fee before anything begins.
4. Begin, and review
Sessions start, and we review progress with you at regular intervals.
