About Us
Our Story
How Mind at Work began and how the school has grown alongside its families.
Mind at Work Progressive School began in Fairview with a small group of families who wanted something different for their children: a school that would take a child's own thinking seriously.
What started as a handful of preschool classes has grown into a full program running from Playgroup through Grade School, alongside reading, tutorial, and assessment services open to the wider community.
The school has stayed deliberately small. Growth has meant adding depth — more specialised teachers, better materials, a longer program — rather than larger classes.
